What We Believe
Our Mission
We, the members of the First Christian Reformed Church of Lynden, are part of the body of Christ who exist for the purpose of praising God and honoring Him as the Lord of all. We do this as we joyfully and eagerly celebrate the goodness of God in worship and as we equip the members for ministry. The aim of this is to form a body that is characterized by the depth of our love and care shown to one another and our willingness to be the servants of God in word and deed to our community and world. As such, the Mission of First Christian Reformed Church of Lynden is to be “a church that cares”. First Church does this by helping to build disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our desire is to show the love of Christ in all we do, whether the spoken word or the word lived out in service to others.
Our Vision
The mission of God is to reconcile all things to Himself. God sends the church into the world to spread the gospel, to evangelize, to proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God, and to embody in its corporate life the message of reconciliation.
First Christian Reformed Church is a church dedicated to living out the command to serve, follow, and worship the Lord Jesus Christ. We do this by keeping our focus on the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and strives to be a church that expresses relational ministry through caring for others.
