Live in Harmony with One Another II
Scripture Texts: Romans 12:14-16
As we continue to work our way through Paul’s admonitions in Romans 12 I want to remind you about the importance of this passage. This is a practical, personal fleshing out of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and what it means to be a Christian, a Christ-follower. If we say we believe the Gospel of Jesus, then this is what that looks like.
Remember how Paul started this chapter.
Romans 12:1-2 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Because of God’s staggering, undeserved mercies and grace shown to us, respond by surrendering and submitting your life as a living sacrifice to God, throwing off the world’s way of doing things and having a new mind and mindset, a new way of thinking and doing things.
